On the Tara River, along with the monument to the heroes of the Battle of Mojkovac, the symbol of the city is the old bridge. Construction of the stone bridge began in 1933, and it was completed in 1934, with a span of 46 meters. The work on the bridge was carried out by engineer Franc Tavčar from Slovenia, with Vladimir Smirnov serving as the chief instructor. Vladimir Smirnov was the engineer who, during World War II, destroyed the bridge over the Neretva River.
At the end of 1944, partisans partially destroyed the stone bridge to slow down the retreat of German forces during their withdrawal. The connection between Kolašin and Mojkovac was disrupted, and after the war, following liberation in 1941, a wooden bridge was built, which served for transportation and crossing. In 1950, the stone bridge was restored according to the 1934 project.
