The Prošćen Mountains extend to the north of the right bank of the Tara River. The slopes of the Prošćen Mountains facing the Tara River are very steep, almost vertical, and on the mountain itself, there are a series of peaks (such as Ljeljeni vrh), sinkholes, and valleys where the huts of the Prošćen herders can be found. Crvena Lokva (1,648 m), located on this mountain, represents the highest permanently inhabited settlement in the municipality of Mojkovac. In the Prošćen Mountains, there are also numerous ethno and eco-villages.
