In the Tara River canyon, between Bistrice and Dobrilovina, at an altitude of 950 meters, there is a primeval forest of black pine known as "Crna Poda." It is one of the most beautiful forested areas in Montenegro. This complex of pine forest covers an area of 20 hectares, and the average age of the pines in it, which can reach heights of up to 45 meters, is 400 years. The existing community of black pine in the Crna Poda reserve is of global significance because it contains trees whose height and thickness have not been recorded in literature until now. The total amount of wood biomass in Crna Poda is 1,465.57 cubic meters.
